The Drowners

Skelleftea, Sweden's powerpop quintet the Drowners consists of vocalist/pianist Magnus Vikstrom, guitarists Leif Rehnstrom and Mikael Sundqvist, bassist Jonas Bergquist, and drummer Andreas Persson. Inspired by power pop groups from the Rasperries to the Posies to Weezer, the group released two albums in Sweden, Destroyer and World Record Player, before coming to the attention of Wind-Up Records, which released Is There Something on Your Mind? in mid-2000. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
