First cousins with an undeniable vocal chemistry, they were destined for greatness. In 1963, while harmonizing to the band on stage at a club, their expressive blend caught the ear of One-derful! producer Andre Williams. Impressed, he had the band give them a chance on stage and soon invited them to record. To echo the label’s renowned male act, the Five Du-Tones, he dubbed them <a href="spotify:artist:0ndKWxbcpH9bxZd0sZk8FL" data-name="The Du-Ettes">The Du-Ettes</a>—a name under which they later shone on three One-derful! imprints.
