The Dumbheads is a 4-piece Ramones-style punk band from Belgorod, Russia. Formed in 2010, the band has released 5 EPs, 1 split record with the Deegeedoils and 2 full lengths to date. Heavily influenced by the abovementioned NYC legends, The Riverdales, The Queers and the likes, The Dumbheads also seem to draw inspiration from, if one dares to say so, rocking attitude of Turbonegro and jingly guitars of later surf revivalists (think of Agent Orange beating the hell out of The Mummies trying to sound like the Beach Boys). Never staying on one side, they move from melodic pop punk anthems and grotesque humoresques to darker introspective lyrics and back. Catchy enough to grab you in less than a minute, this band is definitely a gem worth giving it a try.
