The Fix And The Folly are a 5-man post-melodic-prebiotic-pseudoemoticore outfit based in Central Texas delivering face-melting post-prog-precog-poprocks(tm) music as often as their wives allow them to.
Are they a concept band? Yes...until they get tired of all the work involved and then they’re not for a while. Deal with it. That’s the price of listening to a pre-apocalyptic-post-malone(Karl)-putter-gunk band.
Want to know more about their music? Fine, I guess:
"Red Feather" is a concept album telling the story of Cerberus and Sapphire, members of rival forest tribes caught in the middle of a conspiratorial war for tribal dominance. The album features guest vocals by Quinn Jimenez, Brooklyn Denson, and narration by Dave Depper (Guitarist/Vocalist of Death Cab for Cutie).
F&F's previous album, "Descend", is the first act in a story recounting the struggles and challenges faced by Hatch, a loving husband stuck alone in an underground bunker separated from his pregnant wife Suree and their unborn son Huxley, as he waits out a nuclear fallout; unsure of their fate and what awaits him in the world above.
Pretty heavy stuff, eh? I guess that’s why they are the preeminent post-cathartic-pre-lethargic….whatever, this joke is getting old.
