The Flemish Primitives are five young guys from Leuven, Belgium. With a lot of passion and enthusiasm, these musicians each bring their own unique contribution to the sound of the band.
We have Rune, (guitarist and singer) who, as resident skater boy, uses his “surf” qualities to put smooth vocals over the music.
Kaspers soothing vocals, which don’t shy away from occasional roughness, provide both a compliment and a contrast. You will also hear his compelling and tight riffs, along with his bombastic and melancholic solos, which are indispensable to the whole.
The metronomic and swinging rhythm section is provided by Thomas behind the drums, and supplemented by Nino with his groovy bass fingers and funky licks.
The sound gets its finishing touch through the piano and organ playing of multi-instrumentalist Elgar Suy, who elevates the songs to another level.
