插班生＝陳迪雅＋楊佳盈新加坡女子天／顛團。 想通過音樂創造明天，歌頌昨天。
The Freshman, also known as 插班生, is a girl duo from Singapore made of Carrie Yeo and Chen Diya. They met at the auditions for Project Superstar II in 2006 and though rivals in the competition, forged a strong friendship that would become the inspiration and foundation for their musical journey together.
The girls officially made their debut in 2010 with the album 「人生實驗課」/ "Life Experiment 101". In 2012, they released their EP 「眼鏡矇矇的」/“The Dazy Eyes”.
In 2016, after a long hiatus (in which their fans were convinced the duo had decided to retire) they released their 2nd full studio album titled 「長大」/“Growing Up”.
As of 2024, the duo have released a number of singles and are currently working on their 3rd studio album. They are not good at keeping to deadlines, but they would like to assure all fans, friends, and anyone out there who can prove that they are not a bot...
that they are WORKING ON IT.
