The seeds of The Great Palumbo were sown over the course of years spent songwriting, playing shows, collaborating, and recording in relative obscurity within Nashville’s burgeoning independent music scene. The project centers around Peter Campbell, Will Stevens, and Harrison Hall, but also enjoys support from a rotating cast of other Nashville-based musicians and producers who help bring each song to life.
In February 2019, The Great Palumbo’s driving, choral debut single, “<a href="spotify:track:3Scb8M2BwF1WvLJyYnA9j5" data-name="Falling">Falling</a>" was released. The following months would see them put out additional singles, ultimately culminating in the release of their debut EP, "<a href="spotify:album:4nXvRzCnGBcBkOfh8ozgMT" data-name="Into the Dark">Into the Dark</a>." Produced by Will Mikkelson, this body of work presents a thoughtful blend of rock, folk, and pop elements, and explores the themes of belonging, spiritual belief, and the relationship between them.
2020 and 2021 saw the unveiling of 16 new studio releases, as well as a series of live sessions, all cooked up in choice spaces within Nashville’s many legendary studios. This run of releases culminated in 2022 with in their first LP, charting a path unbound by genre, staking a firm claim on a piece of territory that is nothing if not their own. This fresh batch of tunes reflects collaboration with producers Thomas Doeve, Will Mikkelson, and Kyle Dreaden, as well as a great many other talented Nashville-based musicians.
