The Shortlist was formed by Elijah Parr (drums) with the intent to write music that was fueled by a love of alternative rock but also informed by pop songwriting techniques. With the recruitment of Nathan Griffin (vocals) in 2016, the two began writing what would become their debut EP, "The Young EP." The talents of Ryan Teague (bass) and Aron Hawkins (guitar) were added in 2017 to complete the four-piece. In 2019, their single "1916" exploded via placement on Spotify's "Just Good Music" playlist, and currently has over 1 million streams. The group is working on a forthcoming EP.
