Specializing in warm nostalgic atmospheres and melancholy experimentation, The Hill Station is an indie/electronic duo made up of Ronnie Verton and Rutger Brouwer. Using a mixture of organic instruments and analog synthesizers, they create a sound that draws from the subtle textural shifts of synthwave and minimal electronic while retaining a welcoming pop sensibility.
The Hill Station’s sound is a result of their many years spent performing and absorbing disparate styles of music. Experienced in everything from minimal music to 90’s alt-rock, the pair bonded over a mutual love of experimentation and a desire to embrace electronic styles.
The Hill Station have made their official debut in May 2020, with the release of their first EP In Dreams.
