The Sonic Social Club

As the name suggests a 'Social Club' is a place where people come together to enjoy doing what they love...in this case making music. The dubious and unlikely coming together of Professor of Audio, Josh O'Connor with a veteran of the 'rave' and head honcho of the Excentric Muzik imprint, Irish DJ Fergie is guaranteed to produce something unconventional and exciting. They met at the College of Southern Nevada Las Vegas where Josh was teaching a Masterclass in Music Production and Fergie was one of the students. Impressed with both Josh's knowledge and talent as producer and his fantastic voice, Fergie invited him to his studio to show off his vintage synth collection, drink coffee and talk about music. It was a meeting of kindred spirits musically, with Josh's voice creating a perfect foil and contrast for Fergie's music creations, which are very different from the 'big room' sound he plays as a DJ. The result was the newly formed The Sonic Social Club, a side group and collaborative project that although only in its infancy their productions are already creating a lot of interest.
