THE HOLIDAY COLLECTIVE began as the musical moniker of Creative Director Jesse Higgs. Born into a musical party house of 70’s vinyl and extended family; HOLIDAY began making melodies at the ripe age of three, when he first found a harmonica in the toy box and began playing it to a Dylan record.
Formally forming the collective via the best known method of finding bandmates; the random share-house-roommate experience of Byron Bay. This low-key supergroup featuring; Kimi Brown & Marquee Moon from 'In The Flowers' (AUS/Argentina), Jesse's brother Jade Higgs & Isaac Williams from Tasmania's 'Younger Dryas' and in recent addition the powerhouse voice of 'Meg Hitchcock' hailing from London, UK. With this eclectic group of humans coming together from all corners of the globe, it's a special energy that they bring to the stage; Having recently made their main stage festival birth at Tassie’s much loved ‘Party in the Paddock’. THC musical pallet is broad, pulling from a diverse group of backgrounds, but sitting somewhere between AUS indie pop, Northern Rivers mystic rock, with an additional hint of world music, namely the psychedelic underground scene of Argentina.
The band are now currently stationed back in Byron Bay and finishing up their debut EP ‘*In Holiday’, with several follow up singles planned for the coming months, THC are set on providing a special soundtrack to soothe the tension of this unprecedented year.
