The Jarrs are an alternative 4 piece band from Wakefield. Having headlined at a sold out Headrow House and The Wardrobe in Leeds, The Jarrs’ fanbase is growing and their music is reaching more people everyday. The Jarrs are made up of Joe Robinson (Lead vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Oliver Mullan (Lead Guitar, Backing vocals), Will Django Bird (Bass, Trumpet, Keys), and Liam Firth (Drums, Backing vocals). The new lineup officially formed in September 2019, and are in the process of recording and releasing their first EP, with the songs ‘Boy In Blue’ and ‘Do Your Magic On Me’ already released.
The band began to branch out and gain experience, playing support slots with highly reputable bands such as Skinny Living (540k monthly listeners) and Clean Cut Kid (105k monthly listeners). Having been featured on BBC Radio Leeds for BBC Introducing, BBC Radio York + many more radio stations, The Jarrs have now been heard by thousands.
With a mixture of light melodic guitar riffs, powerful sincere vocals and relatable lyrics, The Jarrs create their own unique sound that is easy to distinguish and sing along to. Inspired by artists like The Kooks and The Libertines, the band utilise elements from many different styles and genres. The Jarrs are more commonly recognised as an Indie Pop band, with modern Indie guitar sounds, trumpet solos and groovy drum beats featured on their upcoming EP, overall creating energetic and uplifting music which comes from the heart.
