Weekend Debt are an alternative rock band known for their distinctive take on the genre, carefully crafting feel-good melodies and riffs to create a familiar yet explosive, memorable sound.

Starting 2020 with a packed headline show at King Tut’s and release of fan favourite ‘Legato’, which featured on prominent taste making playlists 'The Indie List' and 'Hot New Bands', Weekend Debt found a new lease of life during lockdown and continued to create, write, and improve on their abilities and relationship as a band. Glasgow locals Grant, Calvin, Harvey and Russell used this time to record recent singles ‘Pomposity’ and ‘Why Don’t You Realise’, garnering further attention across the country as well as support from BBC Introducing Scotland. Latest single 'Nobody Everyone' was featured on Steve Lamacq's New Music show on BBC 6 Music.

Being brought up on popular Scottish artists such as The View and Paolo Nutini, much of Grant’s songwriting follows a similar route - personal and poetic stories moulded into catchy melodies. Weekend Debt’s sound is fronted by an instantly identifiable Scottish accent and influenced by a blend of each member’s taste, being compared to the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, The Vaccines, Vistas and Inhaler.

"Rabble Rousers" - Steve Lamacq
"I love it - they took a huge step up, so much bigger and better" - Jack Saunders
