The Lewtas Nine as a band consist of just one guy, The Lewtas Nine is named after the hand-built guitar you see on the covers which in turn is named after Chris (my grandfather,) Charlie, Georgie, Teddy, Tommy, Harry, Billy, Matty and Bobby Lewtas who hold the Guinness World Record for the most siblings to serve in WW2..
As a former session musician, songwriter and tutor with a thousand gigs behind me. I put all the instruments down for 5 years whist tight in the grip of my PTSD and losing the battle. I turned to carpentry to occupy myself 24/7, sidetrack my brain, create something I could be proud of each day. Always using Chris' carpentry tools.
Then came the guitar. My fingers bled like I was 12 again, more scales and chords forgotten than remembered. Then the love came back tenfold.
My point is, even in the darkest hours there can be the tiniest ray of hope, in the darkest songs, a beauty and regardless of what you may feel at those lowest points, you are not alone.
