The Shining Tongues

The Shining Tongues is the songwriting vehicle of <a href="spotify:artist:7qI9qrL6P5iq5M8p8DNzzf" data-name="Daniel Knowler">Daniel Knowler</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:1vfDWY24saa7pTR1nnk5Eu" data-name="The Infinite Three">The Infinite Three</a> <a href="spotify:artist:5x41PiGJ5aOi0bEb6a8KDM" data-name="Leisur Hive">Leisur Hive</a>), formed in 2020 when Daniel reconnected with bassist Sam Mclaughlin to begin a new collaborative project.

Taking their previous band’s post-punk urgency and adding an atmospheric gothic folkiness along with elements of drone-rock and psychedelia, a string of singles and EPs were issued resulting in the debut album, <a href="spotify:album:4emrfJlE6x9rBogN8qTwL2" data-name="Milk of God">Milk of God</a>, in 2021. The eclectic debut was described as “A lush, melodic work of intensity, love, noir pop, gothic folk, drone and more.” (It&#39;s Psychedelic Baby Magazine)

Recorded by the current live line-up of Daniel, Sam, Robin Jax (<a href="spotify:artist:6xkc1pmUtmFN0tsYXdmWnO" data-name="Robin Plays Chords">Robin Plays Chords</a>) and Willie Nash over a two year period, the second Shining Tongues&#39; album is called This Body Of Mine Will Disintegrate. An hallucinogenic meditation on impermanence, the new album explores the personal, political and spiritual through a coagulation of influences from ambient drone, folk, psychedelia, gothic and art rock.
