Led by Chris Thomson and Chris Hamley (both alums of the Washington D.C. cult band <a href="spotify:artist:6acCAhaTJb2zMUr7S027Zh">Circus Lupus</a>), Monorchid also included Andy Cone, Tom Allnut and Andy Coronado. Debuting in early 1996 with the single "Imposter Costume," the group released a series of subsequent seven-inch efforts before launching the full-length Let Them Eat...The Monorchid in early 1997.
