The Morphics

The Morphics are a four-piece garage rock band who crawled out of the fenland swamps of the cultural wasteland known as Peterborough, UK. The band consists of Andy Henderson (bass and vocals), Matt Piercy (guitar), Gary Lee (keyboard) and Miles Bunten (drums).
Having initially begun by eviscerating songs by the likes of The Hives, The Sonics, The Animals, The Stooges and The Zombies, the band now mostly plays originals, with the odd choice cover song.
Although setting out with 60s garage as their main inspiration, the band’s sound has consistently drawn comparisons to new wave artists, particularly The B52s, Dead Kennedys and The Cramps.
The Morphics have appeared live in session on local radio and have had songs played on other internet stations around the world. The band’s popularity was much increased after a song was featured at the end of the ‘No Dogs In Space’ podcast (Dead Kennedys - Episode 2).
