The Nerd Project

Formed in January 2024, The Nerd Project is a testament to passion ignited and dreams rediscovered. While the band is new, its members are far from it, each bringing a wealth of experience from their days as inactive or part-time musicians. This collective of "employees by day, musicians by heart" found their perfect synergy, with all but one member hailing from the bustling BPO industry – a true story of being in the right place at the right time.

The band's roots trace back to 2019 when drummer Ely and vocalist Nerd, then officemates, formed a company band. Ely later recruited guitarist Juda, but their collaboration was brief, lasting just one gig. Fast forward to late 2023, a nostalgic Facebook memory posted by Juda reignited the spark. Conversations began, leading to the earnest formation of a new project. With a lineup to complete, Juda brought in Deneb on second guitar, and Ely enlisted Marvs on bass.

Their first jam session was nothing short of magic. The chemistry was instantaneous, and everyone jelled effortlessly. Vocalist Nerd quickly became the primary songwriter, sharing a treasure trove of original material that laid the foundation for The Nerd Project's sound.

Fun Fact: The band's distinctive name, "The Nerd Project," was a spontaneous suggestion from Marvs, aimed at simplifying the naming process, and it stuck. It perfectly encapsulates their journey – a dedicated group of individuals, deeply invested in their craft, bringing their unique vision to life
