The Nightmares is Adam Parslow (Vocals & Guitar), Eleanor Coburn (Keys & Vocals), Craig Preece (Guitar), Benjamin T. Mainwaring (Bass) & James Mattock (Drums & Vocals) and was formed in 2018.
They self-released a debut EP in 2019, followed by a Double A-Side single through Stereo Brain Records in 2020. During this period, they toured alongside: Tiger Army, Grave Pleasures, Clan Of Xymox & Holding Absence.
They released their debut album ‘Séance’ through Venn Records & Equal Vision in 2023 and toured the UK & Europe alongside: Creeper, Funeral For A Friend, Dashboard Confessional, Kids In Glass Houses & Casey.
In March 2024, they completed their first full headline tour of the UK.
July 2024 saw the band launch a new era with an appearance at 2000 Trees Festival. Followed by a UK tour in December with Vision Video.
In February 2025 they released their sophomore album ‘Fire In Heaven’ through Venn Records. The album received acclaim - including a 4/5 star review from Kerrang! Magazine. They toured the UK in support of the record alongside Save Face - as well as making appearances at European Festivals in summer 2025.
They received airplay from Daniel P Carter, Alyx Holcombe & Huw Stephens at BBC Radio 1, Kerrang! Radio, Radio X and BBC Radio Wales. They also performed a live session for Audiotree Worldwide.
In April 2025, the band announced it would be going on an indefinite hiatus and performed for the final time in their hometown of Newport in June 2025.
