The Northwest Kid is a Gitxsan poet/emcee based out of Saskatoon, SK with roots in the northwest interior of British Columbia. He's been an active musician since late 2010 when he established himself in Vancouver, BC as one half of a Hip Hop duo called Mob Bounce.
2019 marked the release of two contrasting EPs from The Northwest Kid. His first solo project, “Dozy & NWK” which blended everything from digital exploration to intimate soulful ballads and Mob Bounce's EDM inspired EP titled "Transformation".
When he's not on the road performing, he's teaming up with non-profits to host song writing and beat making sessions in communities.
