The P.A.’s are a Progressive Post-Punk band from Massachusetts. They are characterized by their raw energy, cryptic and fierce affect, and lyrics that follow a concrete, brutal fantasy narrative.
The band started in 2020 as a two-piece noisy garage rock band. The culmination of this early stage can be found in the catchy punk songs and grating riffs of “Feed Us”. The second record “Bancroft’s Castle” saw the group add bass and elements from other genres, with longer jams and experimentations in harsh noise. “Novo” brought more complex song structures, chronological in-depth lore, polished production, and a wider dynamic range, all setting the stage for “Gevurah”, where the band would double down on the heaviness, while also weaving pieces of pop songwriting and arrangement.
The P.A.’s began playing local shows around Bancroft's Castle, working tirelessly to hone their high-energy live performance into the theatrical, improvisational and expressive whirlwind of synesthetic transcendence it has become. New England couldn’t contain them, so they spent the past few years raiding their way through the American Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. In their domain, they are found playing festivals, like the Lowell Town & City Festival, or New Haven’s Underground Experience. They can also be found opening for national and international touring acts like Hooveriii, Friend, Spencer Krug, and The Macks.
The P.A.'s fifth record "Scryer" is set to release on August 28th, 2025.
