The Portraits are Somerset duo Lorraine and Jeremy Millington, who have played nine Glastonbury Festivals. Their storytelling song style, a worldly mix of Anglo-Irish harmonies and upbeat catchy tunes, provides the backdrop to a recurring theme of unity and peace in these turbulent times. The Portraits reached the national media in 2020/2021 with a spine tingling Christmas charity version of ‘Together In Electric Dreams’ featuring a locked-down choir and orchestra of musicians from Somerset and the duo’s 15-year-old daughter Ciara on main vocals. It paid tribute to the lives lost during the pandemic, with a video featuring hundreds of photographs of those taken from their loved ones. The song attracted the support of a host of well known people, including Stephen Fry, Midge Ure and Matt Lucas and led to appearances by the band on ITV's This Morning and airplay on BBC Radio 2, with Steve Wright saying "I'd give this 5 stars!", with the track achieving no 2 on the iTunes chart.
