The Pyramid is the electronic music project led by Jorge Valverde and founded in mid-1991 in Valencia (Spain). His influences include the electronic music of the late 70s and early 80s and the dance music of the 90s. In his compositions you can see artists such as Kraftwerk, Azul y Negro, Ultravox, Vangelis and Jarre, consolidating a Synthpop melodic and fresh, paying homage to one of the best compositional periods in the history of music.
His discography consists of "HAL 9000", "Synthetic", "Robots & Computers" and “Behind The Lights”. The first pays tribute to the computer in Stanley Kubrick's film “2001 A Space Odyssey”, while in his second work we can listen to 20 songs that immerse us in a journey through digital landscapes that remember the afternoons of games of our adolescence. "Robots & Computers" is an ode to the most famous pop culture robots and computers of all time.
Finally, “Behind The Lights” is another turn in the musical trajectory of the project and confirms the reunion with the most melodic and melancholic side of the artist.
The fifth full-length project will be titled “The Tannhäuser Gate” and to which “Overture” belongs, their latest release. A one-way ticket to sonic galaxies filled with argon nebulae, supernovae enveloped by Gamma-ray bursts, and harmonic dances of remote pulsars and quasars. An L.P. conceptual electronic, with cinematic overtones and nods to the space film culture of the 80s.
“The Pyramid” is back and this time it is to stay.
