The Random is an Italian punk-rock band based in Matera since 2007. Along with an intense live activity, the band released two albums: the homonymous The Random (2009) and the subsequent V.I.P. (2010), from which came the videoclip "El Matador". In 2021, after 8 years of freeze, the band reunited with a new line-up and is currently working on new material. In May 2023 they released the single "Hank", the band's first unreleased post-reunion song, followed in December 2023 by the second single "Pubblico Pogante" which featured the vocals of Piervo Andrisani.
