Back in 2018 the Berlin based producer and composer Maxi Menot handpicked two of her favourite songwriters for what she thought would be a film music project. German/Egyptian Shary Osman and Danish Line Bøgh later proved to have a lot more in common than film music, and the three women formed “The Remaining Part”, an art pop band with nordic and middle eastern influences.
Equal measures of catchy hook lines, melancholic beats and heartfelt poetry became the trio’s backbone along with two distinctive voices, that sound very different but yet compatible. “The Remaining Part” have since worked with Film Orchestra Babelsberg and their music have found its way into the American TV show ”Younger” and the German feature film “Die Wellenbrecherinnen”.
