The Rest Is History, the unstoppable four-piece pop-rock-indie band from Melbourne, Australia, have recently burst onto the scene with their lively debut single Sundowner. The group, consisting of singer and lyricist Alexandra Thomlinson, bassist Oat Laurence, guitarist Louie McAuley and drummer James Briscoe, formed at Rock Academy in 2023, writing their first couple of songs within hours of meeting. Since then, they have played at some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues while continuing to expand on their repertoire.
Their unique fusion of influence - from Carly Rae Jepsen to Deftones, David Bowie to Teenage Dads - provides a solid backbone, but The Rest Is History brings something truly special to the table with their genre-defying tunes.
