The Sassafras Sisters are Annie Davis, Ruby Neatherlin, and Ellie Davis. The trio grew up in Olympia, Washington, where they all started fiddle lessons at the age of four, later branching into bass, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and more. After years of playing together, the three women found their drive through singing in three part harmonies and curating a repertoire that combines both old-time, Appalachian music and modern folk music. The Sassafras Sisters have expanded their audience all over the country; opening for critically acclaimed musicians such as Molly Tuttle and Bruce Molsky, winning fiddling competitions, and leading workshops and square dances at music festivals all over the west coast. In March of 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic set in, they recorded their debut album at David Lange Studios in Fife, Washington.
