The Shine was formed by Paul Martin and Jamie Donaghy in 2006. Based in Fort William Scotland, their unique brand of britpop/acoustic folk rock has become popular in the surrounding area and beyond .
Their biggest shows to date are the Edinburgh fridge festival and belladrum tartan heart festival.
In early 2011 bassist Matt Cooper joined the band followed by Tom Jenkins on drums.
The return of Marc Comiskey on lead guitar completed the five piece line up.
The shine recorded their debut ep "chosen melody" in 2012 and their more recent album "Journey Home" was released in September 2022.
