It has been an explosive start to 2018 for The Shrives, with release and gig announcements, radio plays, interviews and even a live-recorded set at Pirate Studios in London. The Shrives’ current appears to be growing stronger by the day, since the release of their single ‘Money Maker’ on March 2nd, where they have received love from Steve Lamacq and Mark Radcliffe at ‘6 Music’, Dean Jackson at ‘BBC Nottingham’, Christian Carlisle at ‘BBC Sheffield’, Shell Zenner at ‘Amazing Radio’ and many more.

Surging by 1,000 daily streams, reaching 17,000 in just over a month, ‘Money Maker’ was also their b-line to three of Spotify’s most sought-after playlists (‘Discover Weekly’, ‘Release Radar’ and ‘Your Daily Mix’), enticing the ears of new listeners across the globe with their multifaceted, punk attitude. Not only that, in the early months of 2017, they self-released their debut album, ‘Back In The Morrow’, which was recorded and produced by Green Day’s own, Billie Joe Armstrong, in Oakland, California.

With Billie Joe even playing the bass on a couple of their debut tracks, the euphoria of having such an honorable name behind them - at such an early stage in their careers - gave them more determination to briskly evolve into a band esteemed by favorable press across the globe. The four Shrives (Matt Grocott, Josh Horsfall, Henry Claude and Joe Michelson) are continuing their adventures by releasing their second single 'Crash Me' on May 4th.
