Basingstoke-based citrus are an indie/punk fizz band who play well good music with well good lyrics. After 3 years of putting sausage rolls on shelves at their local supermarket, citrus decided it was finally time to embrace the rockstar lifestyle with the release of debut single “Takeout”. Having accrued 125,000 streams on their debut, the follow up “Thursday” was included on several Spotify curated playlists, and are now looking to release more music in the near future to build on their momentum in their pursuit of free alcohol and gig tickets.
They’ve received praise for their juxtaposition of upbeat instrumentals contrasting downbeat subject matters. By translating this to their live performances they have already supported the likes of Marsicans, YONAKA, Bloxx, Her’s, and Slotface.
