The albums Cruel Machine, Mosaic, and Your Own World were originally uploaded on Spotify in 2011, 2014 and 2017. They were taken down by the label when the band decided to move on to a new label for their next release.
"The Spiritual Bat fluctuates between deathrock, gothic rock, postpunk and darkwave with a hint of psychedelia, creating their own blend of powerful, shamanic vocals intertwining with heavy, razor-sharp guitars. Active since the early 90s, as Spiritual Bats (plural), an independent, self-produced band from Italy, they have carried out several coast-to-coast tours in the USA, and performed at European festivals like WGT, Whitby Goth Weekend, Return To The Batcave, Gotham Sounds, Castle Party.
The project led by guitarist-composer Dario Passamonti, founding member of Spiritual Bats (est. 1992) - involves former percussionist Rosetta Garrì, as singer and author of lyrics and arrangements, as well as Sydney Mars (The Mescaline Babies) currently taking on bass duties.
The Spiritual Bat(s) – have always featured artwork by the Alchemist Painters (Biennial of Venice, 1986), on album covers and projections in live performances, and even some collaborations with Doc Hammer (Venture Bros). In 1994 the Spiritual Bats opened for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota… "
