The Squigglers, an amateur bedroom-setup duo, formed on the 27th July 2023. They're just another random beginner band... For now...
Emre loved rock, whatever subgenre it was, he had definitely dipped his toes in at some point. He picked up guitar because he was inspired by all those bands. James had years of piano lessons up to that point, allowing him sufficient theoretical knowledge to produce the songs and suggest the musical directions within them. He picked up the guitar because he was inspired by an anime about bands.
That day, they wrote and recorded their first song, "Minimum Wage (FUCK ST4RBUCKS)", an emotional grunge homage to all the minimum wage workers out there in the world.
24th December 2023, The Squigglers dropped their first album 'The Squigwakening', featuring four new songs about lighthearted and goofy topics. They explored different feels and subgenre's trying to find their unique sound - The 'Squiggler' Sound.
March 2024, They dropped a punky, insanely headbangy single, 'brocken 2'. The song follows the storyline of their earlier song, 'brocken'. They shared the same key and main theme, yet brocken 2 was so much more polished and deep in its storytelling. With an odd double pre-chorus, the song took an experimental route that in the end, paid off.
