The Tarantulas came together in 1996 when the Orlando, FL, natives Randy J and Chris Valentino first combined forces. Playing guitar and drums respectively, the two brought in bassist Loran Lea, who was soon replaced by Ken Baugh. Together, the trio put together the surf rock record Monster Wave... 100 Ft.
