In high school, Jimmy Dean Victor Harrell (vocals/guitars) was a skateboarding punk poet frontman for the Hydrolic Sno-Men who became club favorites, interviewed on KSYN radio & opened for The Exploited, Danzig, & M.O.D. Their coming of age theme song, Frosty's Dead landed on the coveted 1st edition Taco City Rockers compilation album.
He quit the band, served in the USAF in Phoenix AZ, then returned to his hometown of San Antonio, Texas & became frontman for SWAG, voted SA-NEWS band of the year, toured regionally and opened for Korn, Monster Magnet. He then left SWAG & the music scene, moved to Michigan focusing on college, career & family. He earned BSCS, MBA degrees & became a successful entrepreneur in the business & tech sectors.
With an ever present creative license, he re-ignited his musical passion, reversed his two middle names & created alter ego solo artist Vic Dean. He was joined by kindred spirt Leo Moreno, renowned drummer on the TX music scene of BIGWOOD & SWAG fame, Justin Balmos (bass) from the infamous Southend Wreckers and cousin Stacey Freddie of BIGWOOD & Hydrolic Sno-Men backup vocals and became The Vic Dean Band aka TVDB, released their first studio album Stars & Scars in 2018 and several singles in recent months.
