Inspired by independent regional Music like the Minutemen, The Clean, Pylon and the Meat Puppets, Alex Geddes, Lawton Browning, and Raf Spielman created The Woolen Men in 2006 in Portland, Oregon. Since forming the band has released a steady stream of LP's, 7's, and Tape Releases on their in house label Dog's Table. In 2012 the band caught the ear of Woodsist Records and released their first self titled LP in 2013 and a follow up, Temporary Monument, in 2015. In 2017 the band released Lucky Box, a compilation record documenting years of home recording and small label releases. Their latest record Post was released in 2018 to widespread critical acclaim.
