The Youngers are a Pennsylvania-based indie rock band rooted in classic American songwriting, blending guitar-driven arrangements, rich harmonies, and expansive textures with a modern alternative edge. Formed in 1999, their music naturally bridges indie rock, rock, and Americana—drawing comparisons to Wilco, Tom Petty, My Morning Jacket, and The War on Drugs.
Their album Nashville Again (2022) reached #2 on the Roots Rock Chart and spent four months on the Americana chart, building on earlier sessions at Cash Cabin Studios with producer John Carter Cash and guests including Ralph Mooney and Ronnie McCoury.
The band recently recorded Dreaming at Wilco’s Loft in Chicago with Tom Schick (Wilco, Mavis Staples), expanding their sound through layered harmonies, 12-string guitars, and cinematic arrangements that push further into indie rock territory.
The Youngers have performed at MerleFest, DelFest, Musikfest, and Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, shared stages with Levon Helm, Marty Stuart, and Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters, and been featured on NPR, SiriusXM, and WMOT.
