THE ZERONAUT was born at the beginning of 2000 in Gran Canaria, Spain. In the same year, they recorded their first demo Nightscythe, when the band was still known as SCYTHE. Shortly after, Influenced by the Gothenburg sound and the thrash metal classics, Victor, Ruymán, Fran and Kuly joined forces to create a death metal machine that would last through the years.
With a solid formation, and already under the name THE ZERONAUT, they began to give shape to the new material that would be compiled in 2006 in their debut album: PORTRAITS OF NOTHING. Soon, their distinctive sound and live energy opened the doors to multiple gigs, sharing the bill with bands such as Napalm Death, Kreator or Immortal. It also served as a passport to perform their first international live show in 2008, at the ScreamFest in Oslo, Norway.
In 2013, the band faced a new challenge with their sophomore effort KATASTROPHE, a work that presents them with a mature and focused attitude, staying true to their sound, but adding new layers and even a harsher touch to the formula. The result was a sonic journey through new territories in melodic death metal.
THE ZERONAUT has never stopped performing live during all these years and they are are currently at the beginning of the promotion of their new work THE RED HOUSE SESSIONS (2024), an EP that shows the band in their most raw and direct state, without abandoning their characteristic sound.
