Thecodontion is an atmospheric/experimental death metal band with a paleontological concept, formed in Italy in 2016.

Since then, the band has explored several themes with a completely guitarless approach, driven by distorted bass and drums to evoke tectonic, prehistoric landscapes and ancestral creatures.

Following a few secondary releases, the debut album Supercontinent (2020) marked an evolution toward slower structures while preserving a brutal and conceptual intensity. Each release is thematically tied to prehistoric periods, dinosaurs, or tectonic formations, with an approach that is both scientific and visionary.
