Thee Ancient Asses are a Folkedelic/Post-Punk power trio based in Austin, TX. Purely human, no AI members.
Founded in 2022… Having recently awakened from lives as fluorescently lit corporate cogs in NYC, longtime friends Akshay Bimbhet and Jon Hanford formed Thee Ancient Asses during a molly-fueled weekend camping at Desert Daze music festival. Thee Ancient Asses have gotten to work quickly, composing and releasing their debut album "Shift The Paradigm" in 2023, recorded as a guitar-drum duo by Grammy-winning and legendary grunge producer Jack Endino.
Having since added Bakersfield Country dynamo Joshua Lincoln on bass and vocals, Thee Ancient Asses have filled out their sound and incorporated a true honky-tonk spirit. (Donkey Honk?)
Their unique brand of alternative rock fuses catchy hooks and stratospheric guitar tones with sincere lyrics and learned insights that will make you want to tune into your frequency and leave the BS behind!
