They Call Me Steve is a solo project of Dutch musician Jordi van Achthoven, known as ½ member of <a href="spotify:artist:5EmEZjq8eHEC6qFnT63Lza" data-name="Tinlicker">Tinlicker</a>.
Originally founded in 2022, this electronic project emerged as a personal creative outlet, created during quiet evenings at home. Using a minimalist setup—a desk, chair, and headphones—Jordi creates music rooted in audio sampling, blending fragments from vinyl, CDs, and decades-old projects.
