The alternative rock duo first came into the spotlight with the mainstream success of their single The Kill from their second album A Beautiful Lie, and have since sold over 15 million albums worldwide and recorded over two billion streams online to date. Thirty Seconds to Mars, comprised of Jared Leto and Shannon Leto, is known for their experimental progressive rock sounds, fusing elements from a wide variety of genres to create anthemic hits like From Yesterday as well as Kings and Queens. The band has clinched Best International Band three times at the Kerrang! Awards and won nine times at the MTV Europe Music Awards. They have also been nominated at the Billboard Music Awards, taking home the Modern Rock Artist of the Year award in 2007.
