Forming in 2007 out of Phoenix, Arizona, This Century quickly became one of the more exciting pop/rock bands to enter the music atmosphere. Their unique combination of anthemic pop and a die hard grassroots fan base has led to them sharing the stage with the likes of Selena Gomez, Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, The Maine, Never Shout Never and many others.
In addition to success in their home country, This Century enjoyed a large rise in international popularity. In Southeast Asia, their songs “Sound of Fire”, “Everywhere, Everything”, “Bleach Blonde” and “Skeletons” have all reached #1 on top 40 pop radio formats and continue to receive consistent radio attention. Along with tours in Southeast Asia, the guys have also ventured out across the pond to play for their fans in Europe and the UK.
In 2015 the group expressed their desire to pursue individual music ventures and announced that, as a result, This Century would no longer be active after the release of their self-produced third full length album Soul Sucker.
Frontman Joel Kanitz now releases his music under the moniker Gorgeous War, guitarist Sean Silverman joined The Technicolors and drummer Ryan Gose is Stop Dead.
