Mississippi born and Saint Louis raised, Thi’sl (thizil) has traveled the world performing in front crowds of thousands with artists from the likes of Lecrae to Rick Ross. While remaining completely independent, Thi’sl has sold over 60,000 albums, accumulated 16.5 million+ streams on Spotify alone, has been honored by ASCAP and won a Grammy for engineering on Lecrae’s album, “Gravity.” While the world has been his stage, Thi’sl never forgets the place that shaped him, the place that he calls home, St. Louis, Mo. Even with all that comes along with managing a career, Thi’sl still finds time to visit schools to talk to youth and mentor men coming home from prison. Most recently, Thi’sl created an Arts and Leadership Program called, “On Purpose,” that will use music to teach leadership skills to inner city youth. During one of the most trying times his city has faced, Thi’sl along with a close associate, PGA Master Champion Bubba Watson, donated $25,000 to Griffith Elementary to build a computer program for the entire school.
