Tidal Peak is the pseudonym under which Brisbane multi-instrumentalist Kyle Lacko has recorded and performed since 2015.
Existing in several live incarnations but mainly focused as a solo studio project, the band has independently released a handful of singles, three EPs and one studio album on its own independent imprint, Innersea Records.
After nearly five years of no new music, Tidal Peak has finally released a new album, titled Treasureville. The album has been in the making since late-2019, and is another example of Lacko's refined trademark essence of DIY self-produced dreampop and shoegaze weaved with the experimental studio explorations of progressive pop. Featuring a 28-minute conceptual suite split into five tracks on the album's second half, Treasureville is Tidal Peak's most realised work yet.
