American standup comedian and actor Tiffany Haddish overcame years of hardship to emerge as the breakthrough star from the 2017 film Girls Trip. Influenced by <a href="spotify:artist:0zokIKbH4c7crvZP9Xel1Y">Richard Pryor</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6RAiPa076RxBeTBxWO8Xfh">Dane Cook</a>, and the Wayans Brothers, she used comedy as an outlet to cope with the pain. With a biting wit and uncensored voice, Haddish transformed her childhood pain and early career struggles -- years in the foster care system and living out of her car -- into honest comedic material that she showcased on Def Comedy Jam and her own special, She Ready: From the Hood to Hollywood.
