Tim Dillinger is a versatile artist known for his dedication to authentic musical expression as both a recording artist and historical preservationist. He gained recognition in soul and gospel music with his debut album, "Love is on My Mind", released in 2004, and solidified his reputation with the 2013 contemporary gospel album, "The Baton: 1985". Transitioning to a role as a gospel music historian, Dillinger focused on documenting influential musicians while engaging in various production efforts. Approaching his 50s, he is returning to the studio to record "Songcatcher", an album that reflects his roots and eschews contemporary production in favor of traditional musicianship, inspired by artists such as the Staple Singers, AndraƩ Crouch, Laura Nyro, and Bruce Springsteen. Dillinger aims to create music that emphasizes emotional depth and storytelling, continuing to explore themes of faith, humanity, and social consciousness, and inviting listeners to engage deeply with the musical experience.
