Tim Hecker is a Juno Award-winning Canadian composer and sound artist. He is known internationally for experimental ambient recordings released under his own name, and soundtracks. He has released nine albums and collaborated with artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:4SQdUpG4f7UbkJG3cJ2Iyj" data-name="Arca">Arca</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6qEM4txXHvfMbOUOK9L7pl" data-name="Ben Frost">Ben Frost</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3IpQziA6YwD53PQ5xbwgLF" data-name="Jóhann Jóhannsson">Jóhann Jóhannsson</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:13PoSkMaBxmC6EeAu2oBhH" data-name="Daniel Lopatin">Daniel Lopatin</a>.
Initially recording under the <a href="spotify:artist:4d8MP0mY5KdH1EIiN7aWxf" data-name="Jetone">Jetone</a> moniker, he started his own name with the release of <a href="spotify:album:5MZRB9G4snRWIG0otfxJYq" data-name="Haunt Me">Haunt Me</a> in 2001. Hecker released on Kranky, 4AD, and Alien8. He remixed the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:3WaJSfKnzc65VDgmj2zU8B" data-name="Interpol">Interpol</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5MWBg16f5UYiaSlyVhzlIW" data-name="John Cale">John Cale</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5lsC3H1vh9YSRQckyGv0Up" data-name="Ellen Allien">Ellen Allien</a>.
