Tim Parker

Tim Parker has maintained a secured taste-maker status at the heart of the British Hip-hop and alt-electronica landscape as a club & radio DJ for over a decade. Originally from Cambridge, Parkers time since has been spent in London contributing to the cities musical landscape, operating as a crucial fixer-cum-influencer for the instrumental hip-hop community.

He helped materialise the first London appearance for acts such as Lapalux, KNXWLEDGE, The Range &amp; Obey City (as co-curator of Streets of Beige club night); Has hosted his monthly ‘You’ll Soon Know’ radio show on NTS radio since the stations inception over a decade ago (showcasing guests including MNDSGN, Ta-Ku &amp; Joe Kay); Commanded a residency at the 20/20 LDN club night as long as the event has existed; and most recently taken on co-A&amp;R status for <a href="spotify:artist:4G1BTcGLvvsItegHSvBH0y" data-name="dBridge">dBridge</a>&#39;s widely-acclaimed label Exit Records.

In the times since his inaugural release on the 20/20 LDN label (with the track “<a href="spotify:track:7uMX6HihYVIdYbTvIc4BLB" data-name="U Smart">U Smart</a>” - a collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:3VXCvo9Sr0hbZ4mk6VOKBs" data-name="Ivy Lab">Ivy Lab</a>), Parker has developed a distinct solo sound, tipping his cap to the dance floor whilst encapsulating the instrumentation of golden-era hip-hop and its jazz-infusions.
