Melbourne-born singer-songwriter Timothy Li found his passion for writing music in his late twenties. Following formal study and many years spent performing and supporting fellow artists, he embraced a coastal shift, developing and producing modern folk and indie originals along the Surf Coast.
Influenced by contemporary artists such as Bon Iver, Stephen Wilson Jr., Fink and Garrett Kato, alongside the formative sounds of 80s songwriters including Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen, his music is driven by retro pianos, guitars synths and emotional storytelling. As a fully independent artist, he manages every stage of production, from vocals and instrumentation to mixing and mastering.
Alongside his career in primary education and time with family, Timothy continues to record and produce for emerging indie-folk artists both locally and abroad.
