Going by the moniker of Tin Man, Johannes Auvinen is a California-born, Austria-based electronic music DJ and producer. Auvinen became interested in making music while he was in college, and gradually developed his own sound inspired by the Chicago and U.K. electronic scenes, and by vintage gear such as the Roland 303. Throughout the 2010s, he built his reputation as a leading figure of the neo-acid movement, mixing house, techno, and more in works that veer from strictly-for-dancing electronic music to neo-classical and ambient. As well as performing around the world in clubs and festivals, he has released albums on labels such as Places, Acid Acid, Keys of Life, Love Sex Acid, Dripping Acid, Perfume, Scared, and Vienna Blue, to name but a few. Arles, his seventh full-length, appeared in 2023 on Bureau B. ~ Mariano Prunes, Rovi
